Grundy Area Vocational Center and The Community Foundation of Grundy County are pleased to announce our 5th annual 8th Grade Career Expo will be held on Wednesday October 25th from 8:15am - 2:00pm at the District 101 Rec. Center on the Morris High School Campus. The purpose of the 8th Grade Career Expo is to introduce the 8th grade students to a wealth of career opportunities available in Grundy County and to help steer students on their future educational and professional paths. In order to make the event both purposeful and interactive, 8th Grade students are expected to participate in career exploration activities before attending the expo. We ask that all business presenting at the expo plan for an interactive experience in which the students can explore the career field, ask questions, and learn directly by participating in a hands-on activity Over the past years we have had over 60 businesses participate as presenters for the expo. Business participation is vital for the continued success of this event. Each year, we look to grow and welcome as many participants as possible in order to expose students to the wide variety of professional paths located right here in their home towns.
